Anna Tresek Fitch

On September 28, 2019, at the age of 85, our LORD reached down, took a hold of Anna Tresek Fitch's hand and gently led her to her heavenly home. Anna was a native of Binghamton NY, former resident of Endicott NY, former resident of Charlotte NC and recent resident of Mills River NC. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.. Anna was the youngest of 16 children born to her late parents Anthony and Catherine Tresek, She was preceded in death by Carlton Fitch, her husband of 60 years, her grandson Justin Morrow, numerous siblings and extended family members. Anna is survived by her children: Carl (Kathryn) Fitch of Dudley, NC, Katherine (John) Morrow of Horse Shoe, NC and Barbara (Leo) Surek of Windsor NY. Grandchildren: Daniel Fitch, Kylie (Jeremy) Cochran, Jared (Courtnie Talso) Morrow, Shane (Colleen) Surek, Rosie (Ed) Lewis. Great grandchildren: Abigail and Ezra Cochran, John and Benjamin Surek, Jamison Morrow, and Kristek Lewis. And her brother: William Tresek. Anna was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and over the years worked in the accounting dept of several businesses. After raising her children she worked as a Unit Receptionist at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. While living in Charlotte she volunteered at the local Catholic Diocese. A favorite pass time while living in Mills River were the Tuesday evening Bingo games with her River Oak neighbors...Yo Momma!! The family would like to express it's sincere appreciation to Dr. Randy Tryon and his staff for the loving care they provided over the past several years. Anna always loved when her visits ended with the hand-held prayer. We would also like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff at Sunnybrook Assisted Living for their supportive care and Four Season's Palliative and Hospice Service for their compassionate care in Anna's last days. The family will receive friends at an open house visitation at the home of John and Kathy Morrow on Sunday October 13th from 1:00 to 5:00pm. A private graveside ceremony will be held on a later date.
