Hannah Marie Fox

Hannah Marie Fox, 28, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away on November 11, 2025. Born and raised in Asheville, Hannah’s entire life was rooted in the community and the family she cherished. She is survived by her loving parents, Ansley Richard Fox and Krista Schoening Fox of Asheville, NC; her devoted twin sister, Megan Elizabeth Fox of Knoxville, TN; her paternal grandparents, George Richard Fox and Juanita Enterkin Fox of Fletcher, NC; her aunts, Jerrie Winkler (Mark) and Kari Schoening Diehl (Peter); her godmother, Jean Roberts of Atlanta, GA; her cousins, Brandee, Joseph, Eric, Anna, and David; and her second cousins, Declan and Preston. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, B. Fox of Chattanooga, TN; her aunt, Charlotte Frances Fox of Atlanta, GA; her maternal grandparents, Kenneth Stengel Schoening and Kari Lenning Schoening of Asheville, NC; her uncle, Jimmy Hardeman of Atlanta, GA; and her second ”mom”, Jennifer Pinkney. Hannah graduated from the Progressive Education Program, a place she adored. She loved school deeply and made meaningful connections with everyone she encountered there. Hannah found joy in life’s simple, genuine moments—spending time with family, watching football and scary movies with her dad, doing crafts with her mom, and attending Saturday pizza picnics that became a beloved family tradition. Her presence brought lightness, warmth, and laughter to every room. Though Hannah was special needs and non-verbal, she communicated with a depth and clarity that surpassed words. She formed strong, unforgettable bonds with people, often touching their lives in quiet but profound ways. Hannah embodied strength, resilience, curiosity, and an open-hearted spirit. She reminded those around her to embrace the little joys and to persevere. Her laugh, bright and unmistakable, was a gift to all who heard it—a sound that brought comfort, happiness, and a reminder of the love she gave so freely. Hannah was a blessing to her family, her community, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she inspired and the love she shared. A Celebration of Life honoring Hannah will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Nativity, 2425 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the church. All are welcome to attend both the visitation and the service. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live via the church’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Progressive Education Program, a place that was deeply meaningful in Hannah’s life.
