Joseph "Jorch" Norberto

Joseph “Jorch” Norberto, 21, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away while traveling with his job as an electrical apprentice in Wilmington, NC, on August 26, 2025, by deciding it was no longer time for him to be here. Born on November 12, 2003, in Sylva, NC, Joseph was a beacon of courage, adventure, and boundless curiosity. He lived his life with a fearless spirit, always embracing the challenges and joys that came his way. At 3 ½, Joseph moved to Florida, where he had a beautiful tan and became a natural in the water, learning to swim effortlessly in the pool and enjoyed all that came along with it, especially underwater racing in the water with his mother! Later discovering and loving many of the natural springs Florida had to offer visiting often with his friends and family! Joseph had adopted a gamer nickname, “Jorch,” at a young age. He much loved his Xbox and eventually moved to PC Gaming. That nickname stuck with him into adulthood, putting that name on all his tools and even his car, “@Jorch5.0” In his early years, Joseph found fun in adventuresome activities such as jumping off high bridges with no fear. Joseph used to say, “Face your Fears.” He also found it challenging and fun to go to skateparks and pushed himself to get better each time, learning new tricks on his scooter. He made the tail-whip look good! One particular gift was flipping his butterfly knife, a friend of his mentioning that his skills were, “Sick!” While growing up, another pastime of Joseph’s was going to theme parks and water parks and riding scary roller coasters and water slides with a brave face. He was once tricked into riding Space Mountain and came out saying, “Again!” One of the most significant talents of Joseph’s was his intelligence. If there was something Joseph had an interest in, the effort he put into understanding and learning paid off in knowledge and skill. He loved passing his knowledge on to others, especially his mother, keeping her up-to-date on things. But it wasn’t just his talents that made Joseph special. It was his desire to encourage others to strive to be better and always see potential in people. Another friend of his said, "Joseph was the most ambitious person I know!!!" His wisdom extended beyond his years, often sharing the phrase, “Comparison is the thief of joy,” as a reminder to always focus on one’s own path and not compare it to others, not let others steal your joy! After graduation, Joseph found his niche in the electrical field through a middle school friend. His first major accomplishment was completing a Cheney Brothers, Inc. distribution center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Then his job put him on the road to discover several job sites throughout Florida and even up to Baltimore. He saw more snow in a few months there than he had seen his entire life. Joseph had ambitions to grow in his field as an electrician to one day be able to work with high-end companies that engaged in military or NASA contracts. He was very much interested in the deeper skills of the electrician trade. One of Joseph’s dreams was to own a Mustang. After a year of learning and beating up his first car, Joseph made that dream happen at 19 by purchasing his 5.0 beauty. Even though he is gone too soon, Joseph lived a life packed full of adventure, travel, and achieving and doing more than some see in a lifetime. He is survived by his parents, Jennifer Boyer and Joseph Norberto; his Grandmother and Grandfather; and several other relatives whose hearts are broken by his passing but filled with gratitude for the time they had with him. Joseph will be remembered not only for the incredible things he achieved but for the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. Run free with all the mustangs, Joseph, and be free from any ugliness the world showed you. May God, your family, and friends welcome and embrace you in Heaven. Till I see you again❤️
